Ford 3000 clutch

Went and looked at a ford 3000, seems to be an honest old tractor with your typical drip here and there. My concern is the clutch, it has a live pto with what I'm guessing is a 2 stage clutch. It seems to me that there is not a lot of pedal there. Is that normal for that clutch or should it feel like a normal clutch on any other tractor? Could it be adjusted? Thanks in advance.

It's high for road gear engagement.

If worried, PTO rpms, hard surface, hold down both brake pedals (hard) and let the driveline clutch out slowly. If the engine lugs hard and wants to die (before you get the pedal pushed back down) should be good to go. If it doesn't then 3 questions arise: Is it worn out, is the clutch adjustment itself improper, or is the external clutch linkage in need of adjustment. On external adjustment, pedal freeplay (pedal up vs pedal just touching clutch release fingers) is in the manual and I forget how much....roughly an inch best I can remember. PTO activate is just about right in the center of pedal travel range.

I have a '65 3000D, live, 8 sp. 5200 hrs. Bought at about 4500. Don't know if clutch had been changed or not.....no signs of main frame splitting. Still stout. Just a slight PIA with it being so high....but the repair manual doesn't have a problem with that.
