Lawn vacuum

sv I use a 50in lawn sweeper on my gravel driveways I have a lot of pine trees does a great job I pull it behind my mower I did have to raise the hitch point to get it not to drag the catcher bag takes a little practice with the height not to pick up your gravel

It should. My Agri-fab does a great job. Depending on the cones the crummy loose ones sound like you sucked up a hand full of little acorns. The big tight cones that are heavy sound like the cut off end of a 2x4 board. Can be pretty loud. Please wear Ear Muffs when using these machines! Just do NOT EVER be tempted to suck up any pebbles, stones, rocks, driveway gravel, etc. It will bust the impeller up real good. Just buy a good heavy duty unit.

By the way. The neighbor two houses over has several sweet gum or button wood trees. They drop those round brown spikey balls all over the blasted lawn. He has used his Agri-fab but it can sound like a machine gun nest some years. He also has a good old lawn sweep that does pretty well too. If the ball drop is really heavy he needs the lawn vacuum cause the sweeper just can't handle it. Just depends on what you can afford. The sweep is for ligh to medium duty. Those vacuum units will suck a squirrel out of his hole in that tree.

I seen northern tool has a toro walk behind vacuum for about 600$ I haven?t done any research on it though

my sweeper is a ohio steel 50in I think it would be a lot faster and easer then a walk behind vac.

Don't know if you specifically want a walk-behind unit, but I can add this. In Arkansas, at my late Dad's place, he had a Magnolia tree that was bad about dropping those seed pods. I had a 3-bag bagger attachment for his Husqvarna riding mower. All I had to do was mow the lawn and most of the pods would end up in the bagger. If I put the deck lower when under the tree, the bagger attachment would get pretty much all of them.

He didn't have pine trees, so can't say how it would have worked there.
