The 1755 Oliver on the farm actually belongs to my brother. When he bought it 10 years ago it needed tires. We usually only use it on a rake and round baler. Well I haven't talked to him in over a week, and I guess he got a bug up his butt. He called around and found the best price and got new tires all the way around. 11lx15 front and 20.8x34 rears. Firestones. Said he had been putting the money aside and finally did it ! I think it looks pretty good ! Next is some can repair, and probably paint.

I finally threw in the towel and put new 9.5 15s on the front of my 1600 loader tractor. Got tired of swapping tires around off wagons and what not until I could get some repaired. My 1550 has two new fronts and one new rear. I'm hoping to get the last 16 acres of hay raked yet with that one old 15.5 that's still on it.

Yeah Randy it's tough swapping back and forth when you need to get something done ! He went with the firestones. Not cheap. About 3400 bucks all around. That was with the full service call. Guy needle scaled the rims, then wire wheeled them, then greased them up good. The rears weren't loaded and the rims were pretty nice I guess. Tires are one of those necessary evils I guess ! Dad put 18.5x34's on the 1750 three or four years ago, and the 1650 still had old 18.4x34 safe marks on it which are still in real nice shape ! Only one that needs tires is my 300 Farmall. Real bad weather checking, but still holding air !

Tires and batteries. The only thing that keeps me from having enough tractors that I never have to pull a draw pin. LOL
