The other day I was trying to flatten a flat washer on my vice . I had the door open so ringo could get in and out well I hit the washer one good whack and it shot right through the driver door window . Got a new window and I wanted to try to tint it so it would match the old window . Had my nephew help and it didn?t turn out to bad for our first time

Its a DODGE Somehow I broke one out of a customers truck drivers side last week cutting the rivets out that hold the ball joints in..

Local shop did the tint $50 bucks with a lifetime warranty looks great... He wanted the window installed it shocked me but that's the way he wanted it... I was caught in the cross hairs did not want a customer dissatisfied over a $2200 job... It got both fronts redone whats another $50 I was into it for a 100 already...

Its one of the easiest door panels and windows to replace 3 screws pop the window switch out its gravy if you were getting paid to do it...

It would be easier to do the tint with the window
installed because you could use the window sills as
a straight edge to cut the tint to shape. If you look
close at my photo you can see the pony vice
clamped to the kitchen table that?s because with the
window out of the truck you have to hold the glass
up so you can transfer the tint from the outide of the
window glass to the inside now that step could be a
bit harder with the the window in the truck because
the adhesive Is extremely sticky and you could stick
the sheet of tint to part of the truck that you didn?t
want it to

Mr. Cummins, Are you married? If so, you must have one understanding wife to let you mount a vise to the dining room table! LOL
Don't think I've ever seen that before.

What you are showing could get you a trip before the Judge, that is against the law around here. No tint on front or drivers door. Back doors alowed, front no.

Windshield and front door windows CAN be tinted, but only to a certain degree. Law enforcement folks have a special device for use in detecting how much light can pass through a tinted window.

Nope im not married don?t even have a girl friend that?s why I get away with clapping the pony vice to the kitchen table and other stunts like painting parts in the house

They can be tinted here but these are darker than the legal limit my buddy that?s a cop says if you get pulled over just roll the windows which I?ve done the few times I have been pulled over and nobody has ever gave me trouble

Just wait till you get to do some dash work it shatters/breaks just like that glass (not really but close)... BTW its darker than the law allows here its rare to see it enforced... Tote a razor blade scraper its cheaper to remove it than the ticket...

Just had the dash out last year to replace the heater
core and after 20 years there still is not one crack in
the dash
