970CASE HARD to shift

CASETROUBLE

New User
I have a 970 power shift case tractor that is hard to shift in and out of gear. Once in gear forward power shift gears work great ,but if you try going in reverse you got to play a lot with the clutch petal to get it to go in. Any ideas what could be wrong? I forgot to mention you got to play a lot with the clutch petal to get into 1-4 gears too.

You have problems with the mechanical linkage from the clutch pedal to the inching spool. Your power shift cable that shifts the tractor (1-2-3-R) could also be bad.
