The feature at the Western NY gas & steam engine show in Alexander last weekend was Oddballs and Orphans so I thought I would post some of them from the show. I was there Friday and Saturday and the weather was great. I was almost a little chilly on Saturday, which was a nice change from the rest of the summer.

Thanks for the pictures! I love the home made machines. My Dad made a machine with a car front end, a JD LUC engine, a truck transmission, a couple of ground drive manure spreader tires and, a door for a bench seat. We called it the "Jitney". We used it to rake hay. and to spot spray Canadian thistles. An old pressure tank sat behind the seat and the grain tank unload drive ran the spray pump. The mounting for the back axle was not strong enough to pull a load of hay, but we used the machine all Spring, Summer, and Fall.

Wow you are not kidding about odd balls and orphans. Every thing that could be cobbled up or dragged out from under a stairwell.

Nice pictures Dan!!

I visited the show all day Fri, Sat and Sunday - shot over 1,800 photos (and walked nearly 22 miles!) altogether. Will share a few highlights as time permits.

An altogether excellent show!!

Man! I'd love to have that big yellow thing with the blade in the 3rd picture. I could really finish cleaning up my property? What is it do you know?

Here is the sign on the front of it. Some of the text is a bit small.

I've been going to ask if anyone went. I went for the first time after about 8 or 9 years and couldn't believe how much it has grown in size. I checked out some propane powered tractors which is the closest I've ever gotten to one. I'm bad at getting pictures to share.

We were there from Wednesday To Sunday camping. We are lifetime members of the Association. We took up only one tractor this year and had it parked by my wifes cousins JD display at the end of the pulling track. It's the only correct color green tractor in the pictures. Lol. Thanks Dan S for posting some pics. That is a buddy of mine driving the miniature ford semi.
