Front tractor tires

My tractor has 5.50 x16 tires no power steering if I put 6.00 x16 tires on it would it steer easer with my 127 corn picker on it? Thanks Howard

changing the lower bearing will do the most good just did a Massey 44 today steers with one hand old bearing had a flat spot on each roller that matched the race

Probably easier to comment on this if we knew the make and model of tractor. Not all are hard to steer. That small of a tire size change should hardly be noticeable.

With a 127 picker I am guessing an A John Deere and they had 5:50x16 from factory. I changed mine to 6:00x16 and later 6:50x16". I think it steared easier with the picker but I had the 2 row 227 picker. Heavier. I know it steared easier on first time over plowed ground. The Farmal H always had 6:00x15" on it.

Mr Parker, I owned a tire shop for 22 years. You will not notice any difference. Make sure the gear box is full of good lube.
