I just purchased an 8 n Ford tractor and it seems like there?s too much heat coming back on my legs. I have 2 other Ford tractors and don?t get near that much heat. Tell me if this is common on these tractors or not

is the cooling fan a pusher or puller stand in front of your other tractors and see if the air is pushed out the front

I always have jeans or pants on and have never noticed excessive heat from my 8N, I would probably feel more heat with shorts though. If it was exhaust the heat should only make your RH leg warm.

Most of the heat is fan generated. A 2 bladed fan won't move the air a 4 blade will....I have a 2 blade on my 2000 4 cyl. The rest of my Fords have 4 blades and as the engine HP raises so does the air blast to the rear as one would expect. The opening temperature of your thermostat also is a consideration as obviously, the higher the operating temp the hotter the blast.

I just bought a Ford 3910 and installed a 188* stat. Higher hp and higher temp than my other ones and I noticed it in the recent summer weather....but I wanted it hot for winter feeding and wanted the higher HP so I put up with it.
