I put my 1969 CASE 931 to work today. First I have worked it since a complete overhaul and increased bore, making it a 426 cu.in engine rather than a 401. Hooked it to a early 70's Case 5x18" plow and rolled dirt this afternoon. I'm real pleased with it's performance. The plow worke great also, until I snagged a ledge with 3 bottoms and blew a hyd. hose on the reset system.

Very nice Loren. I didn't know Case made a plow so recently as to have hyd. reset. They must have gone to Oliver/White shortly after this one?

What a beautiful combination of colours....just need a bit of dark grey smoke to rollout the stack

It will blow some coal if you push it. I started plowing in 4th gear, about 5mph, but shifted back to 3rd so I didn't lug it too hard until the new motor had some more hours on it. The motor displacement has been increased from 401cu.in. to 426, so the cooling system is about maxed out when pulling hard.

Bob, Case built the 3000 series hyd reset plows back in the 60's and then went to the 8000 plows until 1973 when they switched to the Oliver/White spring reset plows.
This 8358 plow has 18" Radex bottoms on it.

Boy that?s a nice outfit. I?ve always wanted to try a hydraulic reset plow . That?s is pretty job of plowing our old rock hard clay won?t turn that nice

A 930 would not be able to pull 5x18 down the road here in this black gumbo dirt we have in So. central Mn. All though it does not look like you are plowing very deep which is good. Uncle always said "there is nothing down there that I want up here"

I always thought your equipment was the best. Now you've proved it LOL. I think that's why I bought an 831 CK. Just had it out today doing some mowing, not quite as pretty as your though.

Hey Loren, nice to see her out strutted her stuff. Have been kinda waiting for you to take her out. I bet it was a lot of fun to hear her pull.
Plan to take mine out soon also.

No one around here moldboard plows anymore. Big moldboard plows (bigger than 2 bottom) are dirt cheap at sales. A few guys will chisel plow or disc a little if they rutted up things getting the crop off in the fall.
