Just wondering if you indeed have two fuel tanks? If so, are they plumbed together? As I'm pretty sure you are not running two different fuels. My DC has the hole in the tin work for another tank inlet but only one tank. gobble

Early DCs such as this one ran on kerosene The smaller tank held gasoline for starting until the engine warmed up then switched to the main tank that held kerosene.

Very nice.
We had a DC 3 when I was in HS.
Comared to our Allis B it was a real brute of a tractor.
I'm not up on the Cases nowdays.
What is the difference between a DC3 and DC4?
thanks.

Sharp tractor. Here's the one that I sold to olgentDC. I've had a narrow front DC and two SCs over the years too.

DC3 could have had narrow or wide front end, probably a single front wheel also. DC3 had adjustable width, larger rear tires and different ring and pinion to give comparable speeds to DC4. DC4 had non-adjustable width tires. Seating position was lower on the 4. Probably other differences. Same engine and transmission. I have a 51 DC3.

casecollectorsc, was kerosene also called distillate?? I wonder what the difference was in price between distillate or kerosene and gasoline. I knew why they had two tanks, just wondered if his had two, or two necks into one tank. Nice looking tractor any way. gobble

Yep , That is the Ol Gent. He is healthy and working today And Looks So much Better too . Randy ,My Nephew James Hubbard has it now ,.After i got it running , It seemed to really build heat , when i got laid Up James took it on Himself To fix the DC , turned out it had a cracked head , It did not miss ,I had the head, It just needed reconditioned., James Made the difference,, The Motorvis strong and does not use oil .

Yes, they could be single front too; I have all three variations. To clarify one other thing, the rear wheels on a DC4 can be adjusted; look at the first picture.

Thanks.
Ours looked like the one in DCM's photo. It was WF and short and stubby like his not the extra long wheel base like RRLund shows.
I remember it had a real fast road gear and hand clutch.

I remember when you got that. I asked if it was a 3 or 4.
I have a DC3 NF. About 95% original as far as I can tell.
Great old tractor with the Eagle hitch and remote hydraulics.
No where near as pretty as DCM's but works great!
