I was helping out a Nephew on his farm. He gave me his 2016 Chev Silverado to go get him 5 gallons of fuel for his tractor.
Never made it back, hit a deer and it sent off all the airbags in the truck including the ones in the back seat. Insurance company totaled the truck. Airbag experience is no good to go thru. Had burns from the powder on both hands, chest and arms.

Several years ago,6 or 7, I guess, we hit a deer. Activated the frontal air bags, steering wheel and over the glove box. I worked in the construction industry my whole life, was around shooting, loud aircraft. I had hearing loss already, but the explosion of that air bag took me immediately to a whole new level. Got hearing aids shorty after as I had trouble hearing and understanding the grandkids. My ears rang and were muffled for 4 days afterwards. An experience I never want to go thru again. There's a Monty Python "no pay policy" joke in here somewhere.
3 years ago got hit in left front corner of the 2000 Dakota from a stop sign runner. Wraped me around a big power pole. Never felt the air bags when they exploded and there was NO NOISE from them. All it was was a dence fog for a bit. The bags never touched me that I know of, only thing they might have done was knocked glasses off of my face that we never did find. 2 months later in 06 Dodge Grand Caravan van totalled, bags never went off, just the anti lock brakes became anti STOP brakes for a couple of seconds before they started working again just intime for me to get stoped before hitting a semi tractor head on.

Earlier this year a local guy hit a deer with his 3 week old Toyota.
Deer strike bent the hood, left fender and broke the grill, 6 of the 7 air bags deployed totaling out the new truck.
