Stuck clutch

My nephew went to move his one tractor he had parked a couple of months in the dry and the clutch is locked up.We did the usual thing to try to free it up.Low gear with the brakes on up against a tree still can't get freed up.Checked the linkage everything is moving inside and out what else can he do to free it up? TIA

I always have better luck with it rolling, usually have to start it running by rolling downhill, after it starts and with the clutch held down hit the brake pedal
hard, after one or two tries it should break loose.

Try stressing the drive train in high gear. That will put more shock on the clutch than low.

Sometimes leaving the clutch pedal blocked down for a day or 2 will free one. It shouldn't be stuck too bad in that short a time.

#1 block the pedal down when not being used.
#2 you need to drive it in the highest gear you can do safely. Low gear does nt put as much stress on the clutch.
#3 Pull the starter and while having the clutch blocked down spray brake cleaner spray on the clutch area and turn the engine over so as to get to it all.

By the way it helps us help you if we know what tractor it is because on some there are thing you can do that you cannot do on others

what tractor? what else can he do to free it up? well, either take apart and clean the rust out from disc and flywheel. another thing can do is once free spray brake clean into the disc with pedal down and slip it a bit.

2x higher gear. Get in the open and get it going in a higher gear. Throttle 3/4 open, then raise and lower throttle quickly to get sort of a bucking bronco going. Clutch held down or blocked down of course. Not dragging the brakes either, you want the slack in the drive train to shock the clutch plate.

so tell me how you are going to hitch something up behind a tractor with a stuck clutch you cant even start the engine and put it in any gear with engine running think about that
