I have a International 354 - with a gasoline engine. It's a decent tractor for its size, but has one problem that makes it almost impossible to use. The 2 stage clutch does not disengage the PTO - in other words, if the PTO is in gear, it can't be stopped from spinning.
I have a re-print manual, and the instruction says the PTO must not be operated when the transmission is in high range. I'm fairly sure that has happened - prior to the tractor coming to me.
Can anyone give me any insight into how I might tackle this problem?
