you iowa guys ok?

I'm 100 miles west of Des Moines. We are good here but we sure took a beating a couple weeks ago with 60+ mph straight wind. (lots of green snap) some hail & 8" of rain in 3 hours. I saw on my weather app on my phone that Des Moines was catching heck. I hope everyone is ok over there.

This was all over the weather channel. Just wish people who use their smart phone to send in footage would learn how to do it correctly.

Mother in law lives in marshalltown(no damage at her house) but parts of town bad damage, KCRG in cedar rapids has pictures, they are asking sight seers to stay away

Here is a picture of the Vermeer plant in Pella.

A good friend of mine recently moved from Kansas to Pella to work at Vermeer and was in the storm shelter in Plant 4 when the tornado hit. He said that Plant 4 was damaged but not to the extreme some others were. One plant was completely destroyed and several others are severely damaged. He and his family are all fine and their house was not damaged at all. It's safe to say that it's going to be a long road back to "business as usual" at Vermeer.

Missed my plant by a block. Seen it coming in time to lock everything down and get everyone into shelter. Destroyed the Lennox plant 4 blocks east. My home is miles away so no damage there but we are running on generator tonight.

One report said Vermeer was celebrating a 70th anniversary with visitors from all over the world. They will have a story to take home.
