Had more Ice & Snow on IRT. Lisa Kelly & Darrel Ward running together. Think they drove some on ocean ice to get there. Not sure I could knowingly do that.

The place looks like I remember it. I spent 19 years in the north country. The colors will be coming in about three weeks. Take a good look at tombstone mountain on your way back. You see it in a lot of pictures & postcards. I spent a fair amount of time with friends on the dempster corner but it burnt down 6-8 years ago. I think the cabins are still there. Have fun it is a trip of a life time. Thanks for posting pics.

Well it did cost me a windshield but it would have picked up a stone at home sooner or later. The sun never sets here for 60 days....just makes a complete circle low on the horizon. Tuktoyuktuk is the town at the end of the road which just became a year round toad last fall. Poor condition if it rains and the entire dempster highway is a 30 or 40 mph road but the scenery just makes it all worthwhile. Very happy that we did it....and yes Bruce my wife can't stand Ian either....Ben

I?ve thought it might be fun to run the ice road but I don?t see very well under low visibility conditions and I don?t really like the idea of freezing to death / drowning so I think I?ll jusr watch it on tv
