John Deere 4B plow

I sold mine last spring for $700.00. I advertised it on Craig's List. It had been completely re-done, with new implement tires and re-built rims. I disassembled and sand blasted it. New frogs and landsides. I really lost money. Ellis

About 30 years ago I cleared some land, was concerned about wrecking a plow with hidden roots. Old guy advised me to buy as many JD 2 bottom tag-along plows as I could find for $50 or less- If you break one, park it and hook up another. I ended up with 3- broke 1, still have the other 2. They generally run $100 or less around here (Pacific northwest).

Bought a used one on steel about a year ago for less than $40. This past winter/spring I fixed it up to usable condition (rebuilt one share, put lugs on lift wheel). Plowed with it a while a couple of weeks ago behind the '36 JD A and it worked good. Only have about $50 in it plus some time and welding rod. Think they will bring a little more if on good rubber.
