Rear combination work / warning light

Bought a can of red paint and painted the back of the light hoping I can get the white light to shine through and give a red light for night road travel . The cheapest I can find these is 27$ From all states ag parts and 19$ from Steiner

A thin coat of red finger nail polish would have worked better.

may work I cant say but I tried that on a 1157 or 1156 bulb for a dash light once,,, burned even the high temp paint off lol you may have better luck

I believe A & I sells those bulbs; we do stock them where I work,since CIH does not sell them anymore.Mark.

I got thinking I should have just tried to get a red bulb to replace the little light bulb

I just can?t believe the price they want for something a chinamen probably got paid .13$ a week to build and has about .43$ worth of material in it

Well I got a red glow out of it but I will have to bite the 27$ bullet and order the real thing I guess
