Someone brought this to the Pioneer Days at my hometown, kind of neat, I understand they were sold by Sears Roebuck. The Tri-Trac by David Bradley had a single drive wheel in the rear with a wide front axle. The tractor was built from 1953 to 1957 and about 4,000 were produced

It looks to me like it should be extremely stable if you really look at it. Sure it is very narrow in the back, but the front is relatively extremely wide compared to probably any common tractor. The COG is extremely low compared to virtually any common tractor, and there is no front axle pivot.

I have a Tri-Trac and the word is that the engineer that designed this tractor wouldn't even have his picture taken with one. He told sears that He designed an unsafe piece of equipment. I have a mold board plow attachment on mine and that's when you find out it's not really stable If it's set up proper the right front wheel is to be in the furrow and if you turn it to the right it has to almost tip over. And yes it does articulate between the seat and the steering mechanism. This articulation is adjustable also. They are fun to drive and they get quite a lot of interested lookers at a show.
