Sorry. Misread your statement. They hook directly behind the chute. Very little tension on the baler chamber, the majority of the pressure comes from the extra weight of the bales being pushed up the wagon. Pull a cable and whole rear of wagon swings open dumping bales on ground/barn floor. They work pretty good for a one man operation like myself with the barn set up I have. Biggest down fall is they only hold about 85-95 bales.
