I posted on the IH forum about a 300u and fast hitch backhoe.I only got 1 response,so I thought I'd re-ask here.Has anyone seen,or have pics of a fast hitch backhoe, like the one I remember from when I was young? You can read my whole post on the IH forum-I think it is near the bottom of the first page. I am curious on how exactly it hooked up.Thanks,Mark.

I can't imagine it would work well being completely unsupported on top, and connected to the sloppy linkages of a fast hitch on the bottom. True 3pt backhoes don't work all that well because they're not rigidly attached to the tractor in my experience. Better than a shovel, but hardly a Case 580CK.

The back hoe attachment (conjecture) was able to be stable on a fast hitch because the hitch can provide down force and shift full rear tractor weight to the hoe outriggers. This is just like what happens when an integrated hoe lifts its rear tires to become stable. I imagine either an independent PTO mounted pump and reservoir, or a front mounted engine driven pump with quick disconnects to the hoe. Jim
