got the m5 ready for haying, not finished all the paint and body work yet, (that will be next winters project). still have to bring in the ih-100 sickle mower for the new knife bar assembly and new ujoints on the drive shaft. spend a day getting it all back together and tuned up. AND then have a serious talk with the weather guros about a 4 or 5 day window to get it cut, raked and baled

Congratulations! It has gotten so dry here in NH that it takes little more than 24 hours to cut dry and bale.

(quoted from post at 04:38:23 07/16/18) kind of a shame to get it all dusty...looks good

thanks jim, i'm looking forward to having a tractor with more than enough H.P. to handle the mower and baler. the dust is no problem with the pressure washer

(quoted from post at 05:40:47 07/16/18) I like your wooden steps. I'll bet you can find lots of uses for them around the shop.
jwa I built those steps mainly to get up and down on welding truck decks. (being a short guy  ) but like you said I use them for a 100 different jobs.

(quoted from post at 11:29:20 07/16/18) very nice!!!!
thank you larry, I am looking forward to getting out there and cutting hay. that old girl just impresses the heck out of me how smooth it is to run and how much torgue it has.

Great-looking tractor, nice job! I like the location of battery, nice and accessible. Makes me wonder why it's buried on so many tractors/vehicles. Good to be able to get to it easily.

red one of the main reasons I moved and built the new battery box was the big difference in cable lengths, the ground was about 16" long and the pos. to the starter was 6' long, and the location the battery being on the right fender floor was very awkward to access and work on.
