My wife always looks at the free stuff on Craigslist,so yesterday she says there are some tractor tires free on CL.So I look, two 12.4 X 28 tires on 6 loop rims says they are off a Ford 2000.Email sent, fellow calls me says the tires just OK but the rims are good no fluid in them ever they are selling their place. We went down about 40 miles this morning good tires and rims plus he throws in a 2500W generator to sweeten the free deal, he says it works but carb is gummed up.Never thought to look for tractor tires in the free stuff.

That was a deal. every time I check free section around here its mostly junk....worn out tires, busted kids toys, small(or treated) wood scraps...That reminds me I could put the old tire from the B up on there, someone might want a sandbox or flowerbed.

In my area there are a lot of wealthy people and they will buy something like new furniture and just give the old very nice furniture away things like that all the time on CL.
Also some people will just set whatever out on the curb in front of their house with a free sign on it and are people apparently just for the heck of doing it will ride thru town and
suburbs take pictures and put a Curb Alert with a picture on CL

Can?t go wrong on that . The neighbor gave me a set of Goodyear ultra torque radials with about 50% tread left I?ve ran em about ten years and they are just about bald I?m going to see about getting them retreaded

They will bolt right onto my David Brown 780 I rake hay with so they won't see any hard use they're older but about 3/4 tread.Real nice people too actually live pretty close to me they were selling this farm they had for awhile as sort of a weekend go to spot.We invited them to come out and my wife said she'd make a churn of homemade blackberry ice cream.

I did that once. Wanted Rose beds so I fix up these nice two (old worn out 12.4x28s off a 1000 series Ford I had) tires out front of the house. Nice acid sand, fertilizer, kept them watered.....by the 3rd year I had the finest Coastal Bermuda bed you ever laid eyes on. Should have put a ground barrier on first but just plain forgot!

Man that?s cool . Them old tractor tires will run forever it?s amazing how much longer these old tires will last compared to the new ones . my old John Deere tool carrier still has one of the same tires it had on it when my dad bought it 30 years ago
