1950 WD 3 point hyd lift, any suggestion on dialing in the lift using the control on column control hand? It likes to creep up using it with the ganen while control handle adjustment does not matter. but once in the full down position it stays down

You need the pump set to ?position and hold? control. See the
sticker on the side of the battery box.

And post in the Allis-Chalmers section.

Chances are a 68 year old tractor is going to have enough wear on the linkages and valves that no matter how careful you set it, it is going to creep.

I have yet to ever see a sticker on the battery box explaining how to set those controls and I have had a good many WD and WD45 tractors and none has any thing on the battery box about that

thanks

They all came from the factory with the battery box sticker...right side. Also comes in each replacement decal set.

I understand they came with the decal but I have yet to ever see a decal on any of the WD or WD45s I have had so that says to me it is also common for them to be missing and if missing well you cannot read what is says.

Sort of like the decal my NH271 baler has. It still has the decal in the twine box that tells you how to time the baler. The NH68 I have that decal is missing and the NH276 I used at a friend place a few years ago does not have the decal either
