Whipped together a sun shade today

When I bought my 1963 Case 831C it had an abortion of a Comfort Cab on it, painted calf shi!! yellow. One of those things with fiberglass roof, angle iron frame with glass windows and lots of canvas that draped down the fender and up front to enclose the motor. Ugly and awkward to say the least.
I totally dismantled it, saved the glass as it is laminated safety glass and can be recut for some other projects that I have. I fabed up a two post vertical support from some 2x2" tubing from salvaged Kubota shipping crates, to support the old roof frame and fiberglass roof. It came out pretty good. The roof has round lines and fits the looks of the 1957 Case 300.
I plan on repainting the tractor in the not to distant future for an August tractor show, and painting the new sun shade to match.

Well what fun is it painting straight non-rusty metal like that, I'll tell ya what since I'm so kind, I'll just swing by and swap out my 300's tin work for yours.

Soooo jealous of that top, that is nice.

Boy I need a shade canopy on my 1972 MF135. Been thinking about what to use to create one. I have some extruded aluminum deck panels but need to get the rops post done first.

That all looks good. You got the firewood warehouse full yet?

(quoted from post at 07:46:14 07/21/18) How thick is the tubing? too thin, and it will crack/break over time.

If it does he'll fix it. Depends on the level of usage. Are you suggesting it would have been better to not do the project than use what was available?

Sometimes it is, I have only been fabricating things for about 45 years.
