Hey, new as a user here but find myself always coming here for advice/instruction. Saw this thread after a friend and myself purchased a decent Super 47B this week and we're looking for what kind of motor to slap on it. What's this about the legal issues and this clipper though? Or are you saying the bags that people used for bagging were the culprit?

I have a 47b that we are getting ready to clean rye with. Will do about 2000 bu in the next few weeks.Mine has a 1 1/2 hp motor. In good going we can clean 75-85 bu per hour. Tom

That’s a thread I started a lol over a year ago. If I remember right. People were concerned that Monsanto would sue me if I cleaned roundup ready beans for patent infringement. It hasn’t been an issue because I haven’t cleaned any beans. Small grains keep me plenty busy.

A 47 will run easily on a 1.5 hp electric motor.

I have cleaned over round up beans to get the weed seed not gotten with the spray to reduce/ eliminate the dock at the elevator.
