My new-to-me baler’s main drive sprocket. Good thing I made a note which was which or I mighta put the old one back on by mistake.

That old sprocket is worn more than you think. Wrap a new piece of chain around it and see how much loser it fits than a new sprocket will. The teeth look to have started to hook over with wear too.

I am sure that rockyridgefarm was being facetious and intending to show us how bad a sprocket can get from a stretched chain.

I thought this post would have been understood as a joke. I also replaced the chain with a USA made Drives brand chain from Shoup. I think the rest of the sprockets are OK. I’ll watch them.

I got it, and I have 2 sprockets on the combine that look just like that, need to get on ordering some new.

I should show the teeth on the planter clutch I replaced this season, yikes, why I let stuff get that bad, but it didn't give any trouble until all of a
sudden....
