4020 24 volt starter question

Going to replace the solenoid on my 4020 diesel it’s the original 24 volt how ever noticed that their are two black looking things that sit on top of the starter/ solenoid support they have wires going to them they look like resistors

Anybody else know what this is
 
They are circuit breakers that protect your wiring from burning up if the starter ever shorts out. Many years ago Dad had a 4010 without them and the shop that rebuilt the starter made a mistake resulting in a dead short. When I turned the key it melted every wire on the tractor. Tom
 

would like to know what the part number are for these two circuit breakers. lights have never worked on are tractor but these breakers look okay would like to pick up some spares just incase. and what do these breakers protect do they protect the starting circuit or the lighting circuit.

They protect the tractor from burning up if something shorts out downstream from the starter, which includes the wiring harness and charging system.

The part number for the breakers is AR47710, and while I'm all for having spare parts on hand, those breakers cost just short of $100 at the dealer and VERY seldom fail.
 
Be SURE to get the CORRECT 24 Volt solenoid for this specific application.

Any numbers, brand name, or markings on the old one?

Low battery voltage can cause starter solenoid to hang. I suggest to check both batteries voltage.
