Farmall 560 Regulator And Safety Valve Adjustment???

Is there a way to increase the hydraulic pressure on a tractor??? Our Farmall 560 diesel is way lower than what we've expected it to be (Around 1300psi) and I think I've found the part to fix the problem... Our Regulator and safety valve had worn out O-rings and gaskets, so we put new ones on and it still didn't work. So then we bought a refurbished one and it still didn't work... Is there something inside the Regulator and Safety Valve??? If not are the 3 control valves under the steering wheel my other option to fix???

Thanks,
Bryce C.

First thing you need to do before throwing parts at it is get a flow meter and valve on the pump. See if you have recommended pressures and flow. May just have a worn out hydraulic pump.

I put a new spring and seals in the pressure/safety valve a while back on my 560. I had 1200 pounds of pressure but was looking for the top, 1500. After I went through it I did get 1500 for a while but now running about 1300. I didn't see away to adjust it up any. I don't think messing with the other valves will help any since they just move to oil.

Common practice is to add a washer or two to increase pressure but you need to be extra careful so they do not block the passageways or you will be buying another pump.
