Flushing hydraulic fluid from 4020

After discovering metal like substance in the suction screen believed to be brake material or trans material from when they overhauled trans. Can I just flush tractor really good and put new filter and get by?

How much did you find???? A few table spoons full or a half a gallon????? A few spoon fulls is common/normal. More than that and you have other troubles. If it was small amount flush out with diesel fuel and fill with new GOOD quality hydraulic oil. With a new filter you should be good to go.

Didn’t really find much screen had some crap on it cleaned it really good oil was light brown looking maybe from water moisture didn’t know how bad other people suction screens were .
