Tips on how to remove injectors from case 970

Hello bankshotone,

Not familiar with the injector set up you have but an eel bar will put pressure on one side and push the body. You need to use to bars so you are pulling straight up. Any way you can do that? Can you turn the injector from side to side? Again not familiar with that setup. Vibration under pressure will usually will do the trick,

Guido.

I am unable to rotate the injector as well, it is the #6 injector and very little room to work, I am lucky to hee1 heel bar in.

my best advice is to use a very good pair of Vise Grips and attempt to twist it both ways along with taping on it from all angles with a hammer or using a rod and a hammer. If you can get it twisting then use two heel bars like Guido suggested . if it comes up then drive it back down to loosen it, it will take some patients.

I notched a short piece of small angle iron that would slip over the injector to allow two bars to pry straight up. Yes #6 is a problem under that cowl. If it has a cab, taking off the cowl is a nightmare I would avoid.

I use to work in an old case dealership and they had a slidehammer fuel injector puller. they never used it much as their protocall for checking diesel engines was to pull the heads. i think this was a common tool used by dealerships that used that style injector. maybe you could borrow one. lastly a few times i had to take a 1/4 inch socket and drive them out from the bottom

your gonna have to get slide hammer puller you might get a few out with the bars but not all trust me did mine last year
