I want a on off valve for my farmall md with flared end copper fittings. Yesterdays told me they didn't know where to get one. Maybe a dealer?

Real hardware stores have wide selections of flare fittings and valves. The filter end will likely need an adapter. Jim

I would not use copper lines on a tractor they tend to brake and that is not good. I use brake line and it is easy to find a shut off that will work with the brake line fittings

What OLD is saying is right, the vibration tends to crack the copper, however if the tractor already has copper then go to a plumping supply house. The bigger the city the more there will be. Here in Northern Virginia I can name three right off and know there are several more. Also you will find them at NAPA and other auto supply houses.

Copper fuel lines cracking is a myth. Most all small engine manufacturers used copper tubing between the tank and carburetor. A small engine vibrates much more than any tractor engine will. The reason to use steel is with a double flare. Copper will distort too much to double flare.
