Was wondering if anyone can tell me why my 530 is pulling oil out of the crankcase and running out of the exhaust. The tractor has been in a barn for about 5 years. It starts and runs but blows oil out the exhaust

Have you checked the level of the oil? It may be overfilled, or coolant has gotten into the crankcase. Two other reasons include: the idea that you might be seeing what is called "wet Stacking" this is carbon deposits being mixed with moisture in the exhaust condensing into the exhaust system and being emitted as an oily residue. If the "oil" dries up leaving a dark grey spot. that is what it is. working it hard for a few hours will make that go away. the other is rings being stuck and allowing oil to pass more easily. Putting a tablespoon of ATF in the cylinders and turning the engine over (not starting) for 5 revolutions to distribute it, then waiting for 5 days to a week, can assist in getting them unstuck. Wonder if the air intake could be plugged with mud daubers ? stock ones were under the frt. grill but there was also optional stacks.

Does the 530 have the ventilator pump like the B's have. Something goes bad in those and sends oil out of the exhaust.

Found something like that in a D17 gas. Mice carried small nuts through an open valve and nested on top a piston.

INTERESTING!

craigco, can you provide a little more detail as to how that happens?

I'm not sure what goes bad in the pump but I believe it starts pumping oil into the air cleaner then sucks it into the engine where it comes out the exhaust.
