Got a chance to buy one IIRC a model zt 25 48 25 hp kohler and 48" fabricated deck. 770 hours.
also with a 2 wheel pull type garden cart. Are these good machines ? Would something like this be a decent deal at $ 1500.00 it was not used commercially.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

I have a ZT1540 that is 13 years old and it's still going strong. I have spent some money for blade spindles through the years but I would buy another one. Mine has a 15hp Kohler engine and it still runs strong.

Best mower that money can buy, I have a 60? commercial grade Gravely zero turn mower, built like a tank. I tried over 20 brands about seven years ago, you name it I tried it, went with Gravely, no regrets....

My neighbor just bought zt60 from a guy for $400. It needs a seat and air filter cover. I have it on my carport to do engine oil change and sharpen the blades. Owner thought battery was no good but it’s ok. I tried it out and it cuts great, rides rougher than a lawn tractor. If it were mine, I woud change the oil in the trans units, don’t know if it has ever been changed and won’t know hours on mower till oil is changed and hour meter reset. I accessed a manual online but haven’t downloaded it.

Did not know Gravwly was made after zero turn mowers came out. All I know is the 2 wheel walk behind model that put attachments in front and are those not in 30-40 year old range?

Gravely ZT2548 was replaced with the ZT XL 48 and is a good residential mower.
We looked at the XL series and nearly bought one, but they where offering special deals on the HD models with the 3100 series trans axles so we went with that model.

After 6 years mowing over 5 acres per week our dealer allowed us $2500 trade in on the new model HD with bigger tires and improved seat for a better ride.

Used to take me 5 hours to mow my yard with 54? cut Husqvarna garden tractor, the 60? Gravely can do it now in hour and fifteen minutes, lot more free time to spare now and less run time on mower, should last me rest of my life

I’ve had a 48 inch machine for at least 12 years. Cuts good, the only possible downside is very few dealers, but I’ve not needed one, as I do my own work. I put Oregon mulching blades on it, cuts much better with them

Gravelys are as good as any as long as they have not been abused. A person can't go wrong buying any of today's commercial grade ZTR's. Can't say the same for residential grade ZTR's thorough. Dealer support is nice but not necessary. Good luck.
