What happened?

Just checked back in on my post about Coons from this morning and
it?s gone. good grief, what happened? how could that get poofed.

Yep, I was reading the thread and was going to post.
It was gone by 9:20am eastern.

Some animal lover squealed or maybe one of the concoctions is a no no?

Most replies where asking what the coons are after?
i.e. remove the reason they are coming and they will go elsewhere.

Probably the "political correct" police zapped it without reading your posting. Try using racoon the next time you are posting about the critter.

You said the word coons. Some people have dirty minds. There is a town down here. The football team was known as the fighting coons. Always have been. New comers moved in and being PC they demanded a change to raccoon's. People in town didn't understand. Since everyone got along just fine. But the PC people won. So now they have two nicknames. Older towns people call them the fighting coons. The PC crowd calls them the fighting raccoons.

P C is killing this country.

There was a warning on here from the moderator a few years ago about posts on varmint control. They said they had turned in to the leading result for searches for that subject and they didn't want to be.

Well, good thing I didn't go ahead and post my fun I had yesterday. 5 pigeons gone and 2 ground hogs out of one barn. Happy me.

If this is the case, it sure would've been nice for someone to at least say so. Not all of us were on here several years ago!

As for the word "coon", it took a while for that to register with me. Yes, now I remember that it has been used as a derogatory term by some people. But when talking about the "specific animal", that kind of logic would seem to me to not even begin to apply.

So your post contains the words "varmint control", yet the thread is still here.

I was dancing around any other reference. If it got reported to the moderator,it'd probably get extinguished too so it doesn't come up in a search. I'm just the messenger. He asked what happened to the post,I told what I know.

Washington County, Missouri has a club house near Potosi, called Washington County Coon Club. It is a club house where coon hunters have dog shows.

In Butler County. Missouri there is an area with an elevation of about 4 feet above the surrounding area of about a section of 640 acres called Coon Island. Alout 10o years ago the raccoons would go to that area to escape flooding of Black River

Seems like Racoons and mischief go together.
