More Wheels

Those old wooden wagon wheels appear to be worth hanging onto. I wonder if these old steel tractor wheels are also in demand by collectors? These I think are off a 15-30 McCormick Deering.

I have several old steel wagon wheels and
implement wheels laying around here. I was
told they're not worth much because
collectors want the taller skinny wheels.
Most of the ones here are short, wide, and
heavy.

Would be worth more as yard art than scrap price.
IN most locals.

I like your vintage JD garden tractor more, ha.

I never considered the JD 111 vintage but I guess it must be near 30 years old. It just keeps on getting the job done so I don't bother replacing it. Currently uploading a video of today's lawn mower adventure. Its taking a while.

There was a wagon load of old steel wheels at the auction at the
Tulare farm show. They sold by the pair and all brought more
than $100 apiece.

I would think those large old tractor wheels would bring a minimum of $100 anywhere near me. Maybe quite a bit more depending on your salesmanship.

Agree about the yard art. There seems to be no limit to what some guys are willing to weed-eat around in the name of marital harmony. gm ;-)

At the right auction or show they're valuable. At an evening estate auction you'd be lucky to get $10 out of them.

Evening estate auctions have to be just about the worst place to sell anything. Great for buying, just horrible for selling.
