Daughter had a Taurus handgun that was recalled due to potential for misfiring. Going off even when safety engaged. Terms of recall was that they would replace with new model. Returned hers several months ago and have heard nothing. They were to ship to a federally licensed vendor who would dispense new item. FROM THEIR LIST, we chose Dick's Sporting Goods in My Pleasant, MI. They only had a few vendors in our state. This was the closest (30 minutes). Daughter was shopping there today, and stopped by gun counter to see if they knew anything... Was told they would never do that, that they would refuse the shipment, that they do not even sell that brand, that they would never sell a handgun... and was summarily dismissed. Dicks was on the list the manufacturer's list of vendors who would honor the warranty. This selection was some time before Dick's made headlines for stopping AR type firearms sales and promising to destroy all they have in stock.
Guess I got the problem of spending a lot of time on hold and arguing with Tarus "customer service" next few days.
Anyone got their TAURUS recall return? What was your experience?
