Magnum 275 three prong plug problem

Hello everyone,
I am having a problem powering up my JD planter greenstar brown box controller located in the cab of my case 275 magnum, thought maybe someone on this forum could help me with this problem. I have power on one of the pins of the three prong plug located on the post. Is this normal?I have always thought that two of the prongs should have power to them, but I am not sure. The other three prong plug in the cab has the same problem, just one pin has power!! Just like to know if that is normal. Can't get the brown box controller to show any power to it. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated are greatly appreciated

1 prong is ground, 1 is hot, 1 is keyed hot. CIH has the plug with pigtails. Spendy, about $55.00. Parts can be bought at Digi-Key for a little less, but not worth it.

One pin is power always one pin is power when the key is on and the third is the ground pin and each of the power pins have separate fuses
in our 260 magnum some of the fuses are in dumb places with even dumber descriptions. My email is open if you have more questions I'll do my
best to help

Thanks for the response! Are you saying that both prongs are supposed to be hot? Continuity light only shows that one of the prongs is hot!I can't get the brown box controller to power up,

Thanks a bunch!I am going to have to check the fuses. They ARE located in the back of the seat under all the control wiring for my planter. Quite a site to see someone working on it in that position. Let me check fuses tomorrow morning, might have to get your email address !Thanks

Check fuses, not fun standing on your head over the seat. Use the grounded prong to ground your test light, then check power at the other 2. This will check the ground side also.

I have found checking the fuses works better with the rear window open and standing on The pto shield its easier to look over the edge of
the window that leaning over the back of the seat. I don't know which plug you're trying to use but those plugs down on the front of the
fender by the right window just above the floor have separate fuses behind them that are a real pia to get to and worst they are only 25 amp
where the plugs in the overhead right or to the rear of the seat and the one on the A post are 30 amp

Do both prongs have to have power on to be able to power up the brown box controller?THANKS again!

I don't know about the green stuff. Ours is all red. None of our stuff needs dual power. Some devices may need a constant hot for memory and a switched source for operation. May have to ask on the JD board once you figure out the power terminals.

I am pretty sure that I have it figured out,the fuse for the post three prong plug, wasn't making a good connection! I inserted the fuse into the connector, checked continuity on both sides of the fuse, found that it wasn't pushed in far enough, all is well now. Thanks for all of the help. This is a great forum!
