Almost Summer Time

Every year there is a competition of bragging rights to who picks the first ripe tomato in South Louisiana.
I was looking around on the net as it is that time of year for us; to see if they are picking 2018 tomatoes yet.

I found this video that was posted almost a month ago on March 25th of the tomato plants growing full of green tomatoes.
It is a facebook post from the local produce stand so you might need facebook to be able to view it.
2018 tomato plants

Wow! Just watched the video with the wife. Wouldn't have seemed so amazing 20 years ago, but living up here near the northern border, we're still trying to get rid of the snow so's the ground can thaw.

Was a little surprised that I didn't see a single bee out there. Obviously, they ARE around! *lol*

Well, believe it or not, I had a little piece of summer weather in my little corner of the world, between my woodshed and my shop this afternoon. The doors in the wood shed and garage face south and west. The afternoon sun this time of year really heats this corner of my shop apron up really well.
My Davis weather station high on the house roof said that temp. peaked out at 50 @ 4:59pm. Much warmer down here in this corner between the shop and wood shed.
The steel frame work you see in the foreground is another Kubota shipping crate that will become the base frame for another wood hauler. I cut off all the mounting brackets off it to start the twin to the one that I built this winter in my shop.

The frogs are singing their hearts out here tonight. Ice in the puddles this morning. It's the first spring like day in along time.

How many of those wood haulers are you going to have in that train?

Just going off the tracks a little. This is a kids program called My Little Pony. How to get winter wraped up and bring in Spring. This is the only way they let it on U'tube but the story is very sweet and funny. Give it a shot.

On the bookface video when the togin or create a new account window pops up down toward the bottom is the words "not now" I click on that and can watch the video.
