That is neat, but how does it steer? Only thing I can think of is they
have individual brakes and use differential steering. Don't wear loose
clothing.
 
I assume the steering wheel was left simply for a place to "hang on".

I would also assume that the steering is by brakes.

I would think some serious upgrading of the brakes was needed.

I wonder if they locked the steering somehow otherwise seems so you'd be putting the tracks back on a lot.

Good observation, without some support wheels between the front and rear to push the track down, the track will just float on top of the ground.

I think the grass has grown around and up thru the tracks like it may have been sitting in that spot for a while.
Besides, how could the rear wheels turn with the track lying right on the tires?
It looks like some pretty strong brackets have been welded on to the front axle to lock the spindles and mount the front idler wheels.
