Murphy Safety Gauges on 4430

There's an extra electric fuel shut off that shuts the fuel off between the filter and the pump on the Murphy's setups we have

Is it setup as a shutdown system or
simply an alarm? I have one tractor I
setup with a full shutdown system since
it often runs unattended but the others
I have added Murphy gauges to I have
just a buzzer and light for low oil or
high temp

They just shut a solenoid valve between the fuel filter and injection pump. Like tjv posted. The only trouble is that they do not shut off right now. They will run for a time on the fuel in the lines. If you have a major oil loss you can still have damage. Not as much compared to having nothing but still damage.

I like the idea of installing an electric shut off on the injection pump. This is how the newer tractor work.

We installed a lot of them 30 years ago or so. Right when the first manure pits started showing up. Guys worrying about leaving the tractors running at full power unattended. Got service calls too when someone "new" did not know you had to hold the reset button when you started them. LOL
