Tax Day Blizzard

Hello all! Well, I figured this was a good opportunity to make a little video showing the blizzard that came through Minnesota. I am located
in East Bethel (about 30 minutes north of Minneapolis), and judging by the flattest spot in my yard, with a tape measure, I am at about 22-
23". The old M did real well on plowing (even made friends with our new neighbors by digging them out)... This is definitely one for the
books. I, for one, love to see the awesome power of nature - I must admit that some of the videos from Minnesota's North Shore of Lake
Superior are pretty awesome to watch! But let's keep this tractor related, shall we? Here is the video I have from yesterday... I started
plowing about 12-15" around 11:30 AM, and by the time I Was done around 2 we had another 4". When I left for work at 9:00 PM, we had a solid
6-8" more. Wow, I hope everyone got their taxes done! IS there an extension option for a snowmageddon?

I hope you are all doing ok as you dig out! Lots of cars still in the ditch here, buried.

Record 2018 Spring Blizzard in MN

I'm finally done with chores, for a few hours anyway. The cattle had been standing in the barn in the finishing pen for so long that all the mess had to be pulled outside in to the feedlot and all the rain, snow, ice and manure out there then all loaded out before I could even think about bedding them.

I could barely sleep last night thinking about the way two of them were looking at me just before I came in last night. They were standing side by side shivering, looking at me like "Aren't you going to help us?". That really bothered me seeing them in that slop hole with the wind and sleet still blowing.

Gotss a questhen fer youse guys up nort in tha snow countery. Iffen yerr snowed in on tax day, , do ya has ta file a late extinsion or does they come after ya fer bein late cuz of blizzerd condishuns???

Well, we usually get by with just a little 'Uff Da' saying, and bring them a bit of Lutefisk.... Typically, then, we can take all the time we need! :-D

I, too have a soft spot for animals... But when you are tired, you're tired. Not much you can do at that point except get a few hours of rest and start again. Hopefully you can get them girls bedded down and get them some rest.
