I have had this Case 150 garden tractor since it was new. It was the first Case garden tractor that we got into our dealership.
It has had a long and useful life, from mowing to blowing snow to cultivating gardens and hilling spuds.
The old 10hp Kohler finally bit the dust and it sat in my cellar for many years. 10 or more years back I acquired an electric feed cart. I bought it for the 2 hydraulic motors that were on it. I have literally repurposed every part of that cart to suit my needs. That would be a story in itself. HeHe.
The feed cart had a 24V DC motor driving a hydraulic pump. My son and I got the bright idea to mount the DC motor and pump into the tractor. The tractor is a hydraulic drive and all we had to do was plumb the feed cart motor and pump in where the Kohler driven pump was. We got everything hooked up and then the project sat for another few years unfinished.
The wife and I enjoy going to tractor shows, but walking and standing all day has become a problem. I decided last year that I would convert the tractor to a two seater that would carry the wifey and me.
The wifey has been at me to get it built so here is some progress pics I had some 16G steel bent for the rear fender and canopy roof, and used salvaged Kubota crates for bracket etc. I moved the F-R/speed control from the steering column and made dual foot controls. I bought a length of 1x1x.065" tubing for the canopy struts. I made front fenders out of the rear fenders and had a piece of 20G steel to close in the sides of the engine compartment. There is room for 4 G31 12V batteries under the hood, and I have 3 small solar panels to mount on the canopy roof. 45W of charging power to a 24V charge controller.
The wifey has bought vinyl fabric to make the seat cushions, armrests and back rests.
