3 pt hitch cement mixer - homemade ideas?

Hey guys,
looking for some ideas/experiences making a 3 pt cement mixer - also pictures of any that people have made

I have an old electric motor driven mixer - it is heavy, on all steel. My grandfather bought it used in the late 40's. It has mixed a lot of cement.

I have been looking for a deal on a modern, plastic barreled, light, easy to move mixer for a while. It is not a need, just waiting for the right deal to come along...

So, my heavy metal beast has sat next to my metal scrap pile for a few years...it is heavy enough that when I take a load of scrap...it never ends up on the truck...which is good because
every time I need it, it works.

I was looking on craigslist this morning and someone had a home built, 3 pt mixer for $100. I was excited but looking at it...it is rough and needs a little work to function. Which makes me
not want it...if I am going to do the work...why not make my own out of what I have and do a little better job...

So...
any pictures of other homemade jobs?

The drive portion of my mixer is on the side of this mixer...the whole outer rim is geared...I don't know if this is ideal.

Thoughts?
Tips?
Ideas?

Not to say this is right - or a 3pt setup is wrong.

But ........ a couple times I've wanted the mixer right where I wanted the concrete,
and a 3 pt attachment mixer would have been impractical to place where I wanted it to go.

Conversely, it would solve the issue of barrowing the concrete to the forms, or moving the
gravel to the mixer.

Your choice.

I as well have a heavy old steel mixer, much like yours it works great but wow what a pig to drag around when you want to use it.

I have not done it yet but my plan is to mount it on a couple of pieces of 6 inch pipe I have laying around.

One of my tractors has two 4 foot long pipes on the front of the loader for moving round bales cradle style.
Looks like forklift forks except round.

If I can drive a tractor to the mixer, pick it up with the spikes then drop in a pin to keep it in place I figure I can move it anywhere I need it and plug it in.

Or move the whole thing already loaded an mixed.

Would have to mount it so the barrel faces left/right for easy filling and dumping.

Gave some thought to the 3PT idea but as I have power and water already handy where I fill it why fix what is not broken.

I mounted my old mixer to two I-beams lying on their sides. I cut notches to match my three point bale forks, and added a short piece of chain to keep it from sliding off. I mix in a spot close to the shop, and motor it to where the concrete is needed. I rarely use it far from an electrical source - but a generator would ride in the loader bucket.

My solution was to fasten an electric cement mixer to a pallet to where I could move it around with my tractor. Then I made a flume that swivels where I can direct the flow of cement.

I have modified an old Montgomery Ward Mixer several times. This is the last Mod
