This is not a plug for Jensales it's just MO I have over the last 40-50 years acquired a lot of manuals for tractors the latest one for an IH-184 I was needing the wiring diagram I can read and know my colors so even with my third grade education I can fix it I wanted to further my education but daddy was in the fourth grade and I didn't want to embarrass him by being in the same class or passing him so we both quit school and started farming that's how we got poor-er
 
Well, somebody's gotta reply to JDR's post so here goes. Interesting, not sure how it all fits together but interesting.
 
Kinda funny how the newbies get shunned until they post more and more . I?ve thought about using jensales manuals a few times but I?ve found original oem manuals on eBay cheaper so I?ve never bought anything from em
 
Maybe they've changed now that its so easy to digitize things, but I bought a Jensales manual years ago, and it was a copy of a copy of a copy, and the pictures were completely useless.
 
In MO, Jensales are over priced and poor quality. For IH manuals, go to Binder Books.
A note about the Cub 184 Wiring Diagram. If I remember correctly, the Owner's Manual is wrong and the Service Manual is correct regarding the porcelain resister mounted on the alternator. One shows it as an ignition resistor between the ignition switch and the coil. This is wrong. It should be in the alternator circuit connected between the coil and he alternator.

Yea I got a couple of books off ebay and they were a copy of a copy, which I didn't like. If Jensales is the same thing I'm staying away. That's why I like Davenport for my JD manuals. Only problem is I haven't seen any aftermarket companies color in the wiring and hydraulic schematics.
 
Looking at the picture In there new add I think maybe they have improved em . That?s the worst thing about reprint manuals is the picture quality
