Went to a auction yesterday in centre Al. Lots of tractors, equipment and old cars. Ran in to some old friends from the G round up tractor show. Jim Silver and Mac Cooley. Also met Bill Olin from NY who is down on family business. Great guy , enjoyed our visit. I got a few prices but it was wet, cold and windy and my wife and kids were ready to call it a day early,I didn't complain! Lol. Pile of 9 Ford weights $140.ford scoop 100. Allis BI $1200. Unstyled JD $4000. 1st crawler $7000,2nd $4000. Farmall 100 $1200. Missed the Ford but if I recall Bill told me last night it was about $1800 and the case was around 450.windmill $3600 had a 30'? Tower . Couple pictures of other stuff I don't know price of! Hope y'all enjoyed a day in Alabama!

I had about the same experience here in Michigan yesterday, except there weren't any other YTers there as far as I know. It started out sunny, then clouded up and the breeze picked up. The quality of the plunder was a little better than most years, but the volume was down. Not that it was a bad thing. It was like they had what they usually do,then removed all the flea market stuff that vendors hadn't been able to unload so they took it there. By 11:20,pretty much everything I had any interest in was sold,so I headed home.

Thank you for the pictures and results. I always like to see them. Got to ask...was it $140 for the whole pile of Ford weights? Were they in good shape or broken? Sounds cheap. I am never lucky enough to find them that cheap.

No. I had already left by the time it sold. And my friends there were getting BBQ sandwiches.........

Grandppa Love, Thanks for posting. Another JD Linderman crawler! One sold near here last week for $5100 partly restored.

Yes it was. Cheapest I have ever seen. They always bring about $1 per pound whenever I see them. Thank you for the info.

Looks like you and Grandma and your son had a fun day.

Like that old crawler and love that 70 Oliver... but don't like the chrome on it though. :(

but don't like the chrome on it though.

You and me both. I know I'll tick off a few people with this, but put a whole bunch of time and money into a nice restoration and put that chrome on it? I don't get it. Everybody has their own taste I guess.

Would have loved to have the Case for that price. Looks like it was a great sale. Weather kinda mixed it up. Would love to have a windmill, but not for that price.

Where is Centre, AL ?
I would have bought those weights for sure, the slip pan was a steal too, got one just like it

Just saw this thread. it was a real pleasure to meet Kevin and family, after corresponding over the internet for a while.
the auction was an unexpected treat for a temporarily displaced farmer from NY. there were some real buys there, and also some better looking tractors there that sold well. not to mention the antique cars $$$$.
I need to figure out a way to pin this thread to my computer to save the pictures.
