Prestolite spark plugs

Were Prestolite plugs any good? I have a gallon can full of NOS Prestolite 18 82 plugs from an IH dealer that closed 45 years ago and I don’t know how long they had been on the shelf when the dealer closed. On a Google search I found out they cross to a Champion D18y which is an extended tip plug. I’m tempted to give a couple of them a try in one of my 2 bangers. The heat range is about right, I just don’t know about the extended tip. If they don’t work out, well they are free. Do any of you guys know what tractor or engine these plugs were intended for? Just curious.

There are a few Farmalls with Prestolite ignition systems. Distributor cap, points, condensor, etc. Maybe what was available when converting from the original magneto? Maybe from the factory?

They were as good as any other name brand. I'd prefer them to modern Champions which have about a 90% junk rate in my experience.
