County court house records clerk can determine the ownership of the land. that might assist in getting to the owner. Jim

I leave a note in a bag if no one is around.

(quoted from post at 20:20:37 03/18/18) That is not and M look closer at mid section and steel lines to hydraulic pump. That is a 400 or 450.That is worth finding out.Scott

I thought the belly looked too long maybe a SMTA but it's got later rims.

Look up who owns the property is a start and contact them a very good chance if they don't own the property they still will know who owns the tractor, also it may be part of an estate and the present owner or executor looks at it like junk.I knew where there was 3 tractors and a lot of equipment that had been apparently sitting for a long while,I start out one morning determined to find out the owner it was on a dead end road.I knocked on doors and finally found out the owner had died and the executors had been changed, long story etc but before dark that day I owned
the 3 tractors and 8 of the pieces of equipment I wanted.Takes determination.

You could do that! I have a 1957 Loboy that a tree fell on looked worse than that. It's my only restored tractor and was a fun project.

My son spotted a Super W6 covered in a blackberry bush on someones property once. I went to the county offices and found the name of the property owner. I wrote him a letter asking about the tractor. He replied its yours along with anything else around it. We hauled it away. We still have it, of course is looks a little better than it did when we found it.

Yep, I agree, either 400 or 450, not an M I would start by knocking on doors close to the property if you really want the tractor. If nobody knows who owns the property, then city/town/village or county clerk will know. It has a can on the muffler, may not be that hard to get running.

I just finished tracking down an owner for a loboy that has been sitting in a wooded area for over 10 years. Took some time and talking to a guy who knows a guy....
Owner said it is yours and wants it to go to someone who cares...the irony is interesting.
I will pick it up once everything thaws and dries.

its not too LATE ,... it has the million dollar can on the muffler. not original front rims though, look like massey rims. , whole front axle could be wrong also. its either a 400 or 450 .

If you were lucky enough to find the owner, he probably was going to fix it one day. The can over the stack is a plus though. Stan
