How well I know that scenario.

Older grandson didn't learn respect for machinery until he was in his 20's and it all came out of HIS wallet.

At tractor supply, they have some Chinese side by sides in the side yard that were returned,,couldnt handle jumps and mountain climbing,,the kids put them to a test,,mom and dad returned them,,,lol

My neighbor told me about fishing out their 3 wheeler. His son got off and was going in the house, problem was the hill he parked it on. Kid learned a big lesson that day. joe

Didn't IH have young boys test their garden tractors (Cub Cadets)?
My dad always wondered how the front spindles got broke on the 1971 105 I hadn't told how him to do that until about ten years ago. Still have it and hasn't needed a new spindle since in 45 yrs.
He always believed they must have a flaw in them. He didn't know they would pop wheelies!!

Manya many years ago ~1965, my folks neighbor's kid did the same
thing. Now he wasn't doing whellies, he was doing burn outs. Go in
reverse as fast as he could and then slam the leaver all the way to
the front at full throttle! ! Yay fun wheelie! Did a real bang up job
ripping out the sunstran unit. Not a cheap item.

Spindles on Cub Cadets reminds me of a service training meeting I was at in St. Paul many years ago. Instructor was telling about the Cub Cadet demonstration IH put on at the state fair. He said they changed spindles on the Cadets after each performance because those stunts and tricks the guys were doing put ten or twenty years of hard use on that unit in one day.
One of the guys in attendance says, heck, any farm can put ten years use on in a day.

Reminds me of Marshall Abbot now gone. Came over to Grandpa's to show off his new Farmall. He parked it beside the garage and went to the house we were having dinner. When we went out it was no where to be seen. He started cussing someone stole it. I walked over looked at the tracks leading into the pond. I said it right there everyone said where? In the pond all you could see was the top of the steering wheel and the muffler pipe.
