Cub Cadet quiet line engine mounts.

How hard to find and expensive are Quiet Line engine mounts? Might have a chance to pick up a 1100 with a 38" mower deck and a 36" snow blower for $150. Engine has been completely rebuilt but it needs mounts. I am aware that these were a belt drive machine and were an econo model. But depending on the cost of the mounts it might be an good deal.
Thanks, Sod Buster.

John Deere uses the same mounts for the fender deck assembly on their 110-216 models. You can also find them on ebay.

Word to the wise here , Don't use the urethane mounts that they offer now , they will NOT isolate the engine to the chassis and will shake the fillings out of your teeth and yep they are expensive . I bought a FULL set of them and yep the price tag will vapor lock ya . I installed them on a 1450 that i was building up for a Friend several states away and wanted it to be as perfect as i could make it so she would have no problems with it one i hauled it out to her . so to make sure it ran like a Swiss watch i had anothe friend use it to mow her place of about two acres . she called me and told me that you could not stand to set in the seat due to the vibration of the engine at mowing speeds as these engines are NOT balanced and Shake really bad and none of then shake at the same speeds . I ended up takeing the mounts out of my 1250 to put in the 1450 as they were still good factory mounts . And no i still do not have my 1250 back up and running .

You are about to make the same mistake my Dad made 20 years ago. If the side covers are on the sides of
the engine it's probably worth $150. But if not, about the only thing that interchanges with a REAL Cub
Cadet is the wheels and tires. A 11 hp Briggs & Scrapiron engine vs an 8, 10, 12 hp cast iron Kohler,
I'll take the Kohler every time.

I'd leave it where ever it's sitting right now. Dad regretted bringing his 1100 home once he really
looked at it.

I've only been running Cub Cadets for 55 years! Since 1963. I still have the 1965 #70 Dad bought new in
'65 out in the shop. Best tractor I own.

Another hidden expense is the Quietline muffler duct which is made of pot metal. Eventually cracks because the muffler is bolted to it, and can't handle all that wiggling.
