Though not a fan of professional sports, I do like college basketball.

History was made last night when overall #1 Virginia was destroyed by 16th seed UMBC, a team that just made it into the tournament on a last second shot.

Gotta love March Madness.

I enjoy watching sports but never followed them at all. Basketball isn't one I had friends watch before this year and I've gotta say, it's been pretty fun to watch so far. I saw both the Loyola game and the UMBC games. Loyola bringing it down to that last second 3 pointer and the UMBC historic win, and by a huge spread, was just plain impressive to watch. I might become a fan (not really, no time).

Yup, that was a big upset, probably as big as any upset ever in any sport. Still a long road to win though, no team going in ranked less than #8 on any corner of the bracket has ever won. Tough tournament to win for sure. Game seems quicker at times than the NBA, at least a lot more hustle ....... mind you they don't have a lot of 7' 300 pounders playing college. Shooting accuracy though, the pros are deadly.

I'm defending UVA a little with the fact one of their top scorers wasn't playing, broke his left wrist last weekend. Still hard to believe they hot that far.
